CastleTratzberg

Exciting audiovisual experience tour for the whole family in the 500-year-old late-Gothic castle Tratzberg. There are originally furnished rooms to be seen: Habsburg Hall, Queens room, hunting room, armory, a chapel, castle kiosk,restaurant “Zum Schlossirt” with culinary dishes, large garden and playground.

Silver Mine Schwaz

Experience today how more than 11,000 miners mined silver 500 years ago. The hard work of the miners has made Schwaz the second largets city in Austria and Tyrol the one of the richest countries in Europe in the 15th and 16th century.

Planetarium

A planetarium is a multimedia entertainment, cultural and educational institution, for every age and profession. Unlike an observatory, where the sky can be viewed directly through a telescope, it is produced artificially in a planetarium in the night sky.

Schwaz

Schwaz is the capital of our district. The mining industry flourished many years ago. Worth visiting are a four naves church hall, Gothic altars, the convent of the Franciscan with a spectacular late-Gothic cloister, the Fuggerhis, the Handelshof, the ancestral castle of the Grafen Freundsberg.

Wolfsklamm

Over steps and walkways, between the canyons the gorge leads slightly uphill to the St.George mountain. Wildly romantic rocky mountains, roaring waterfalls and a magnificent mountain panorama give the visitor of the Wolfsschlucht an unforgettable impression. The gorge with its 354 steps is probably the most beautiful of its kind in the Alps.

World-famous, three-dimensional museum experience with crystals, sound and light architecture of the international media artist Andre Heller, located in Wattens.

Tyrolean Farm Museum

The Kramsacher ”Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum” shows the  life of the ancient Tyrolean farmers. Traditional farm houses have been expertly removed from various regions of Tyrol and orignially been rebuilt here.

Alpine Zoo Innsbruck

The Innsbruck Alpine Zoo is the highest zoo in Europe (727 m). More than 2,000 animals of 150 species invite you to an eventful visit to the wildlife of the Alps.

Castle Ambras

Ambrass Castle, situated above Innsbruck and visible from afar, is one of the main attractions of the capital of Tyrol. It is also one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles in Austria, houses the oldest art and armour collection in Europe with 250 exhibits and features wonderful rooms and hidden ”treasures” in the royal apartments of Habsburg Archduke Ferdinand II.

Rattenberg

For more than one hundred years, guests have come from all over the world to the idyllic town of Rattenberg. Austria’s smallest town with its 484 inhabitants is located in the Inn valley and is one of the oldest towns in Tyrol. Rattenberg has the nickname ”City of Glass” Rattenberg … in our small, medieval town, you can watch engravers, glassblowers and other artisans at work. Glass in various shapes and colors is available in Rattenberg.

Krimml Waterfalls

The Krimml waterfalls are a unique natural monument in Austria with a European Diploma. 3 waterfalls with a height of 140m offer a superlative natural phenomenon.You can hike along the Waterfall Way, which has already been built in 1898, to the individual viewpoints. You can reach this popular destination via Zell am Ziller and over the Gerlos Pass.
